In the first and second semesters, one elective course and one seminar paper are provided, and in the third semester, two elective courses and one seminar paper. In the fourth semester, a project is carried out, when it is planned for the student to reach results of scientific significance, which can be presented at domestic or international scientific congresses and then published in appropriate scientific journals with SCI/SCIE lists. The third year is intended for work on the mentor’s scientific or development projects and obtaining new results with which a doctoral dissertation will be created, written and defended. The publication, or acceptance for publication, of two papers, at least one of which is from the SCI list, is a necessary prerequisite for submitting a topic for the preparation of a doctoral dissertation.
This study program should enable:
* creation of highly intellectual staff in the field of physical culture and sports, with the aim of improving it,
* acquiring the opportunity to be involved in development and scientific work in the field of physical education and sports,
* development of inclination and ability to be involved in teamwork,
* improving the qualification structure of the population in the wider region of Sandžak and the Republic of Serbia
* meeting the need for professional and qualified staff in social, educational, service, commercial and other activities.
The goals of the study program are:
* to acquire and transfer knowledge and skills in the field of physical education and sports,
* familiarization with modern quantitative approaches to problems in the field of physical education and sports,
* acquiring the ability to find and discover problems and solve them creatively using modern methods and tools,
* mastering the skills of practical use and application of information technologies,
* ability for further self-education in the field of physical culture and sports.
Students will acquire the necessary theoretical and practical knowledge for various jobs and professions in society, educational institutions and the public and private sector, which require basic knowledge in the field of physical education and sports, knowledge of modern statistical methods and ability to solve various problems. It is also possible to work in higher education institutions for vocational and academic education, as well as in various scientific research and development institutes in the country and abroad.
