The study program of basic academic studies in Agronomy lasts 3 years, i.e. 6 semesters. The program consists of a total of 36 + 3 subjects (including 2 professional practices and 1 final thesis), namely: 27 compulsory (including 2 professional practices and 1 final thesis) and 12 optional subjects. In each semester, a student can acquire 30 ECTS, which makes a total of 180 ECTS in 6 semesters. Teaching is theoretical and practical in most subjects. Professional practice is provided in the fifth and sixth semesters, and provides a total of 4 ECTS. The final thesis is scheduled as a separate subject in the sixth semester of study and provides 4 ECTS. Among foreign languages, the study of English is planned. Teaching is realized through lectures, exercises, laboratory exercises, field exercises, seminar papers, as well as through interactive teaching.
The purpose is the formation of highly educated personnel in order to carry out professional (educational, professional, research) activities in the field of agronomy and is viewed from the point of view of importance for the labor market and relevance for further education.
By mastering the study program, the student acquires the general ability to determine, formulate, analyze and solve problems in agriculture, and the ability to apply the acquired knowledge in practice, as well as efficiency in individual and team work and work in a multidisciplinary environment.
