Basic academic studies at the Department of Economic Sciences are aimed at the education of specialists, whose competences will be of a general nature, with a broad and versatile insight into academic knowledge and practical work within the framework of general economics, business management, quantitative disciplines and business informatics. The department provides the necessary competencies for performing economic and IT work in companies, profit and non-profit organizations, as well as in state bodies and institutions, both domestically and internationally.

The Department of Economic Sciences offers classes in basic academic studies (OAS) and master academic studies (MAS). Basic academic studies are realized through two accredited study programs: Economics and Business Informatics. Master’s academic studies are also realized through two accredited study programs: Economics and Capacity Building for the Development of the Public Sector.
