The purpose of the study program of graduate academic studies in Law is to educate students in the field of law, which provides deepening of knowledge:
* from the point of view of contemporary constitutional and civil law, as well as numerous applied disciplines;
* harmonization of legal postulates and access to law in accordance with EU law;
* development of law and understanding of numerous factors and aspects that influence its changes in the process of globalization and transition;
* in the work and operation of legal, judicial and administrative institutions, as well as in the refinement of instruments that implement new legal postulates;
* in the analysis of legal practice in the judiciary, state and public administration, local self-government, companies, banks, financial and other organizations, agencies, consulting firms, etc.
The main goal of this program is an additional, more fundamental education of legal experts who will be trained with in-depth knowledge of legal sciences.
The goal is for the student to acquire general and special theoretical and practical knowledge necessary for the professional performance of legal work in the judiciary, state administration, local self-government, public services, business entities and other organizations and institutions, developing the ability to apply acquired knowledge as well as critical interpretation of legal processes , developing the ability to move on
improvement of knowledge in all forms of professional activity and abilities necessary for continuing studies at the third level of higher education.
The Master of Law has acquired the necessary knowledge, and as such he is enabled to acquire the necessary practice in various bodies of state administration, local self-government, commercial and non-commercial organizations for a certain period of time and to pass the bar exam afterwards. Such a lawyer is competent to perform all state and social most responsible and complex legal activities in the judiciary (as judge, prosecutor, investigative judge) and other state bodies and organizations, as well as in local self-government, public services,
companies, business organizations and other state and non-state institutions and organizations.
A master lawyer is competent to participate in the process of creation and application of law, legal concepts, legal norms, legal institutions, general and individual legal acts, as well as to interpret and conclude authoritatively regarding the meaning of legal norms, legal concepts, legal institutions, etc.
Master of Laws is qualified to continue doctoral studies in law or other scientific fields, in order to participate in scientific research and teaching processes.
